On January 15th, RMHAM members visited JFK High School to teach a group of engineering students some amateur radio fundamentals, and guide them on an ARDF foxhunt. We were able to take about 20 students out in 3 teams to try and find 4 hidden transmitters. For many of these kids, it was their first real introduction to the hobby, and they really enjoyed it! They’re excited for the upcoming ARISS contact next summer or fall.
Thanks to the team: Bob Sterner KB0BS, Chris Keller K0SWE, Dan Meyer N0PUF, Skyler Fennell W0SKY, Cheyenne Sterner N0CKS and Hayley Sterner from the RMHAM side, and to Heather Randall of JFK High School for giving us the opportunity!
