RMHAM has had the good fortune of receiving not one, not two, but THREE Dollar-for-Dollar matching corporate grants of $5000 each to help us with some needed projects. Friends, we’re kicking off the 2024 FUNDrive with what can be $15,000 in funds for us to match!
Here is the outline of the projects that we want to fund in 2024:
- RMHAM needs to take on the responsibility of the lease at Squaw Mountain, a very critical site, ensuring uninterrupted service for our microwave hub and repeater location.
- We want to invest in UHF antennas and ancillary equipment for new DMR repeaters in areas where we are expanding our microwave backbone.
- Beef up our battery backup power at our existing Thorodin and Squaw Mountain sites.
- Continue to outfit our fleet of Quick Response Vans (QRV’s) to enhance regional communication capabilities.
- Acquire charging stations for our recently donated Motorola XPR7550 cache radios.
- Add remote HF and VHF stations which will enable give us access to reliable communications resources, apart from metropolitan areas, when situations may require them.
The matching grants will come from Triple C Communications, Colorado Security Alarm and Principia Mathematica, Inc. With your help on a dollar-for-dollar basis we can raise a total of $30,000 to accomplish these goals for 2024. Your monetary support will aid RMHAM in keeping its other programs like our Microwave backbone, the DMR system, RMHAM-U and our Code Plug updates there for everyone to use.
